What happens on the Weekend?

The Weekend is a Christian experience, presented by two lay couples and a clergy couple from their Episcopal perspective. 

The Weekend is open to married couples of all beliefs to accept on their own terms – no matter where they are or are not in their relationship with God.

Each presentation is designed to inspire you to explore your feelings about yourselves, your marriage relationship, and with the world around you.  The presentations are interspersed with a reflection and sharing time between you and your spouse in the privacy of your own room.

What happens after the Weekend?

Just as your wedding was the beginning of your marriage, Marriage Encounter is a beginning too.  There is a post-Weekend community, which helps you to continue to grow in your relationship.  These events bring Encountered couples together to share the joys, successes, and challenges of their relationship and to support each other’s marriages.

But the Weekend does stand by itself and further involvement is a choice each couple makes after the Weekend.
